This is a 30 minute free initial consultation with an Audiologist

Please bring previous audiogram / hearing aids if possible.

This test involves putting a soft tip into your ear. You will experience a slight change in pressure in your ears. Tympanometry measures the ear canal volume, pressure and degree of movement of the eardrum. The results are interpreted as part of a battery of tests to assess the health of the ear drum and middle ear and can be used to monitor glue ear, grommets or perforations, for example.

Includes written Report.

Tympanometry testing is also included within our hearing tests

Includes diagnostic ear examination, advice, tympanometry where necessary, letter to GP (where necessary)

The cost of the appointment is £50 and will last approximately 30 minutes.

A trial hearing aid fitting costs £200

You can trial up to 2 hearing aids with this fee.

If you go ahead with purchasing new hearing aids from us within the 2 week trial period (and the trial aids are returned intact) then we will take £200 off the price of new hearing aids.  

If you don't go ahead with purchasing new hearing aids from us and return the trial aids, then as part of your loan aid agreement we will keep £100 of the fee to cover our appointment time.

Please drop off your hearing aids to our clinic in Wharf street at your earliest convenience. 

(does not include home visits, hearing aids can be dropped off & collected by a relative, or sent in the post (recorded delivery))

We will then take a look ASAP and contact you to let you know when your hearing aid/s will be ready for collection, or if it needs to be sent for repair.

In clinic drop off only - does not include home visits

Hearing aids can be dropped off and collected at the clinic by yourself or a family member (or posted to us by recorded delivery)

6 monthly clean & checks are recommended to maintain your hearing aids preventing the need for repairs

We will then take a look as soon as we can and contact you to let you know when your hearing aid/s are ready to collect, or if they need to be sent for repair. (manufacturers cost of repair not included)

Please note: this is not a sit-down appointment and is for drop-off only. If you want a sit-down appointment, need a fine-tune or alteration of your hearing aids settings, have questions about the aids, or have concerns that your hearing has changed - please let us know in reply to this email and we will offer you a dedicated face to face follow up appointment.

Includes hearing aid clean & check (recommended 6 monthly to prevent the need for repair) plus any needed hearing aid Repair
