The Phonak Infinio Sphere: What The Manufacturers Say

Being in the moment has never been easier.

  • Exceptional speech clarity from any direction,

  • Filters out noise from speech, allowing you to engage with friends, family and work colleagues even in the noisy environments.

A new era in hearing technology. Let’s unlock a world of possibilities together.

  • World’s first hearing aid with dedicated deep neural network (DNN) chip

  • Expand the listening range from all directions

  • Agile universal connectivity that can keep up with you

  • Instant speech separation from noise all around – with an unprecedented 10dB Signal (speech) to noise Ratio improvement

So is the blurb accurate in reality?

Each hearing aid fitting is individual and there are many factors that affect the outcome, not just how brilliant the aid is. The wearers age, type of hearing damage, the way the brain processes information will all impact how well a hearing aid works for them A study in Australia indicated that technology in hearing aids can make a difference, but that difference is very much dependent on the experience of the audiologist and their understanding of the client. So make sure that if you decide to try the Phonak Infinio Sphere it is fitted using REM’s and that all the features that make the aid great are set appropriately for you by the Audiologist. Lastly, you let the audiologist know what works and what doesn’t.

I have completed a few fittings recently, one of which was the Phonak Infinio Sphere

This aid was released a few months ago. Phonak says it has ‘Instant speech separation from noise all around' with an unprecedented 10dB Signal (speech) to noise Ratio improvement on its sphere setting

So, was this the case for the client I fitted the Infinio Sphere to?

Yes. My client has been a Phonak wearer for some time. They were aware, because of the DNN chip, that the hearing aid was slightly bigger than most rechargeable receiver in the canal aids. My client still works, attends meetings weekly and conferences in which they need to be able to hear, and with their old aids they were struggling if the environment was at all noisy. They also have a very active social life and children still at home. It was imperative that the aid coped with these demanding areas.

The Sphere in loud noise setting has worked really well and allowed them to hear the people they were talking to at a large family party, and it has worked really well at their workplace too

They had ensured the aids were in the Sphere setting on the app to get maximum benefit. They could also hear their partner from a room or two away, which previously they had struggled with. This shocked their partner who was so used to them not hearing in this circumstance!

The Phonak Infinio Sphere: A Clients review

Dear Louise,

I just wanted to write to say thanks again for the great job you did helping me choose and set up my new hearing aids.

The sound quality and speech clarity is a complete game changer for me and is really helping me every day in all situations. I can hear servers in the coffee shop, people at parties, my wife(!). It is so much nicer not having to say pardon every 5 minutes!

Anyway - thanks again and I look forward to seeing you for the follow up.
